The Queen’s Speech, delivered on the 14th October 2019 , set out the Government’s legislative agenda for the forthcoming parliamentary term. The speech included a proposed new Bill on Medicines and Medical Devices.

Given the Government’s current lack of a parliamentary majority, this Bill is unlikely to become law in the current parliamentary term. It does, however, give a helpful indication of the Conservative Party’s plans for health legislation should their fortunes change after a general election.
